Homes:

We have a great inventory of homes in the area. Our starter prices begin in the 200’s, with an occasional home in the 100’s. Many of our lower priced homes were built in the 70’s, many chalet styles on smaller lots. The advantage of these homes is usually, lower taxes and an affordable way to get a place in the mountains. We have a nice inventory of newer construction to choose from. Many have nice amenities and some good views. We do see historic homes at times, but many need basics. We have a number of commercial ventures available, restaurants, stores, and inns. Doing business here can be very seasonal & challenging. Condominiums

The Mount Snow / Deerfield Valley area has a number of condominium and town home complexes to offer. Some of the first were built in the 70’s, along route 100. These are also some of the smallest. The majority of the complexes were built in the 80’s. From studios to 4 bedroom units in the base area of Mt. Snow at Snow Tree, Snow Mountain Village, Glen Run, Mountaineer, Deer Creek and Seasons. They were also built on the golf course at Country Club & Spyglass. Larger units were built in the late 80’s. These included Timber Creek, Bears Crossing, Sun Tech, Powder Horn and the beginning of Green Springs and Kingswood. Many of these complexes offer amenities centers that include, fitness center, clubhouse and pool. Some have shuttle access to the ski area. Kingswood has continued to grow over the years; Green Springs also had additional development after 2000. Partridge Run, at the Mount Snow Golf Course, began Post & Beam projects around this time. Haystack Highlands is one of the first new projects in recent years, they continue to develop. Most recently, Boulder Ridge, Outlook and post & beam Snow Vidda have begun new projects. These newer projects are larger units with high-end appointments. The area has something for all tastes and budgets. The smaller units begin in the $100’s range, the large, newer complexes currently top out at around $800k.

Land

This remains one of the most active segments of our market. Our area still has large tracks of undeveloped land. Buyers can still find 10, 20 even 50 or 100 acres at fairly affordable prices. There are still building lots around, but prices are increasing for the limited number of desirable parcels. Recent changes to Vermont wastewater laws continue to affect our market.
